At her sleek penthouse overlooking the pulsating city, Ms. Moolah adjusted the radiant, multicolored neon wings of her Neon Moth Goddess costume. This year, the trio had agreed on an insect theme, each selecting a persona that fused futuristic technology with the mystique of arthropods.
As she admired the ethereal glow of her wings in the mirror, a sudden knock echoed through her apartment. Puzzled, she activated her cyber uplink to one of her compatriots.
“Should I be expecting anyone, Spin Doctor?” she queried.

The trio arrived at the district, where towering holograms depicted ghoulish figures and the streets were alive with cybernetic beings in elaborate costumes. A techno-dance club stood at the center – The Horrific Wins gaming arena in Decode Casino.
A line of the gaming elite waited, each decked out in splendid Halloween finery as bouncers, adorned in monstrous costumes, checked invitations. As they approached, the bouncers’ eyes scanned their Mummy Codes. “Welcome, honored guests,” one intoned, allowing them entry.
Inside, a whirlwind of lights, music, and next-gen spooky slots greeted them. The arena was alive, teeming with virtual slots play stations, each more enticing than the last. “Time to split up and conquer with the Halloween casino promotions,” Ms. Moolah declared.
Ms. Moolah gravitated toward Hades Gigablox, a slot game featuring the deep caverns of the ancient underworld. The Decode Casino Team takes to the stage, their insect-themed costumes drawing awe and thundering applause. The crowd’s reactions are measured by a mind-meld applause and praise measurement system, displaying scores on a towering neon leaderboard.
Soon, the Voodoo People took the stage, adorned in hauntingly realistic costumes with an unsettling aura, also amid considerable applause. But then, something sinister happened. The Voodoo People’s chief coder entered something surreptitiously into his hand-held cyber-uplink, and suddenly, the Decode Casino Team’s scores plummeted.
“Something’s off,” Spin Doctor observed. “Our readings shouldn’t be this low.”
“I’ll step outside for a moment,” Ms. Moolah said, intuition tingling.
Outside, the cool air cleared Ms. Moolah’s thoughts, and suddenly, a glint caught her eye – a scrap of paper lodged beneath a bench. Picking it up, she saw written on one side:

As they strolled, the trio reminisced about the night’s events. “From mysterious invitations to secret codes – we certainly never have a dull moment,” Spade laughed, ruffling his metallic beetle wings.
